A Look Back at a Summer of Cheese

Unfortunately, summer is well and truly over. The weather has turned and Christmas is just around the corner. The summer months were lovely while they lasted and we had the pleasure of being involved in numerous gorgeous weddings. So we thought it would be the perfect time to have a look back at some of our favourite cheese moments.

Our summer of cheese began in June with the lovely Emma and Tom’s wedding at the Priory in Little Wymondley. A relaxed stack took centre stage in between the coolest wedding cake we’ve ever seen (besides the cheese) Bride and Groom caterpillar cakes! Their stack included a delicious variety of cheddar, blue and soft cheeses finished off with fresh fruit and veg decoration. We also added specially matched chutneys to be paired with the cheese in the evening. If that doesn’t sound like the perfect wedding food, we don’t know what does!

June was a busy month for us and it continued with an ultimate cheese table selection. We created this spread for a New Orleans themed wedding celebration, just the coolest theme ever! The evening was dedicated to our cheese grazing table in which we recreate our shop counters with props, biscuits and a variety of different cheeses for guests to pick and choose. We brought along some of our favourite cheeses that ranged from the classic cheddar styles, to traditional blues and punchy soft cheeses. The ultimate selection for a proper celebration.

We finished off our June weddings with a gorgeous rustic cheese tower. Set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, this wedding was the epitome of an English summer celebration. The stack took centre stage on the couples dessert station and was finished off with relaxed grape, fig and tomato decoration. A classic selection of Winterdale cheddar, Shropshire Blue, Smoked Godminster, Nettle Yarg, Cashel Blue and Tunworth made up this impressive tower. A great variety to suit every cheese preference. A perfect alternative wedding food option.

We finished off our summer weddings with a delightful stack for a lovely couple. This stack looked the part on top of a baby grand piano at the impressive Hengrave Hall in Suffolk. A unique combination was created for this special wedding and was completely bespoke to the couple. A perfect combination for them and their guests. What’s not to love!

We absolutely loved being a part of so many special days over the summer of 2019 and loved that our cheese stacks were so popular and enjoyed by the masses.

If you’re a 2020 bride and groom that loves cheese and is looking for something different, then get in touch to see what cheese magic we can create!

This is very nice!! I saw your product in the photos and videos and you did the right thing by adding them. But in the video you could show the creation process instead of the finished result. It would be very interesting to see (in time-lapse mode). https://www.movavi.com/online-video-editor.html can help you with this. Moreover, it is free, simple and multifunctional.
